You may not use, copy, reproduce, republish, upload, post, transmit, distribute, or modify BiteMap trademarks in any way without our prior written consent. The use of BiteMap trademarks on any other website or in any other medium is strictly prohibited.
Intellectual Property Rights
Website and Application Content
Unless otherwise indicated, the BiteMap website and mobile application, including all source code, databases, functionality, software, website designs, audio, video, text, photographs, and graphics (collectively, the "Content"), are owned or licensed by BiteMap and are protected by copyright and trademark laws.
User-Generated Content
By uploading, posting, or otherwise making available any content on the BiteMap platform, including but not limited to video reviews, photos, comments, and ratings, you grant BiteMap a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free, transferable license to use, reproduce, distribute, prepare derivative works of, display, and perform that content in connection with the BiteMap service.
You represent and warrant that:
- You own or control all rights to the content you post
- The content is accurate and not misleading
- Use and posting of the content does not violate these Terms or any law or regulation
- The content does not infringe upon the rights of any third party
Third-Party Content
BiteMap may feature content from third parties, including:
- Restaurant information from Google Places API
- Delivery services (Uber Eats, DoorDash, SkipTheDishes)
- Reservation platforms (OpenTable)
- Social media platforms (TikTok, Instagram)
All third-party trademarks, service marks, trade names, and logos are the property of their respective owners. The use of such marks does not imply any affiliation with or endorsement by these companies.
DMCA Copyright Policy
BiteMap respects the intellectual property rights of others and expects users to do the same. We respond to notices of alleged copyright infringement that comply with the Digital Millennium Copyright Act (DMCA).
Filing a DMCA Notice
If you believe that your copyrighted work has been copied in a way that constitutes copyright infringement and is accessible on the BiteMap platform, please notify us by providing our copyright agent with the following information:
- An electronic or physical signature of the person authorized to act on behalf of the owner of the copyright interest
- A description of the copyrighted work that you claim has been infringed
- A description of where the material that you claim is infringing is located on the BiteMap platform
- Your address, telephone number, and email address

- A statement by you, made under penalty of perjury, that the information in your notice is accurate and that you are the copyright owner or authorized to act on the copyright owner's behalf

Counter-Notice
If you believe that your content was removed by mistake or misidentification, you may file a counter-notice with us by providing the following information:
- Your physical or electronic signature
- Identification of the content that has been removed and the location where it appeared before removal
- A statement under penalty of perjury that you have a good faith belief that the content was removed as a result of mistake or misidentification
- Your name, address, telephone number, and email address
- A statement that you consent to the jurisdiction of the federal court in your jurisdiction and that you will accept service of process from the person who provided the original DMCA notice
Restrictions on Use
You may not:
- Modify, copy, distribute, transmit, display, perform, reproduce, publish, license, create derivative works from, transfer, or sell any information, software, products, or services obtained from the BiteMap platform
- Use the BiteMap platform for any commercial purpose without our express written permission
- Reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble any software or technology used in the BiteMap platform
- Remove any copyright, trademark, or other proprietary notices from the BiteMap platform
- Frame or mirror any part of the BiteMap platform without our express written consent
- Use any robot, spider, scraper, or other automated means to access the BiteMap platform
- Take any action that imposes an unreasonable load on our infrastructure
License to Use Application
BiteMap grants you a revocable, non-exclusive, non-transferable, limited license to download, install, and use the BiteMap mobile application strictly in accordance with the terms of this Agreement and our Terms of Service.
Changes to This Policy
We reserve the right to update or modify this Copyright & Legal Information page at any time without prior notice. Your continued use of the BiteMap platform after any changes indicates your acceptance of the updated terms.
Governing Law
This Copyright & Legal Information page is governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Canada and the Province of Ontario, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.
